12.5mm Knauf Fireshield is a specifically developed plasterboard providing increased fire resistance when used in partition, ceiling and lining systems and also for encasement and shaftwall systems. The board contains small quantities of glass fibre and vermiculite which increases core cohesion at high temperatures.

Applications:

12.5mm Knauf Fireshield is an ideal board for use in areas where superior fire resistance is required:

  • Suitable for forming walls and ceilings to fire compartments and means of escape
  • Suitable for protecting element on the building structure, such as beams and column

12.5mm Knauf Fireshield characteristics:

  • High fire resistance compared to standard plasterboard 0.5 hours - 4 hours fire resistance (depending on thickness)
  • Contains glass fibre to maintain the integrity of board in fire
