Claylite Compressible Fill is a low density expanded polystyrene board (EPS) used to reduce the pressure exerted on reinforced concrete ground beams (100mm – 300mm Claylite boards) or on the vertical face of concrete foundations (50mm – 75mm Claylite boards), caused by the expansion of clay soils (clay heave) during the life of the structure.
Claylite EPS compressible fill material is used regularly on a wide range of constructions for all types of buildings and has rapidly been accepted as the best solution to movement caused by clay heave, shrinkage or soil movement.
In ground beam and pile and beam applications Claylite can be used on both faces of the beam.
