100mm EPS70 Kay-Metzeler is an expanded polystyrene (EPS) board, rigid and tough, closed-cell foam produced by cutting expanded foam blocks. EPS70 boards are suitable for applications subject to low mechanic loads.

Kay-Metzeler EPS70 is manufactured with a blowing agent that contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s and is classified as Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

The material should be stored under cover protected from direct sunlight and out of contact with ground moisture

Applications:

Thermal insulation subject to low mechanic loads:

  • insulation of timber and metal joist floors
  • insulation of walls with cladding, ventilated by air slots
  • insulation of ceilings from the bottom in Jointless Warming Systems [BSO], i.e. insulation performed in a light-wet method
  • insulation of ceilings made of reinforced concrete as lost planking
  • thermal crown insulation made under the plaster and as insulation of lintels and door frames
  • insulation of steep roofs laid under the bearing structure
  • pitched roof insulation between and over rafters
