Alumaflex insulation is a multi layer radiant barrier of low emissivity. The product comprises 14 layers where the outer layer is a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) fused to a PE (polyethylene) bubble layer which is then fused to a non-woven polypropylene backing. The core of the product consists of wadding, reflective foil and PE foam layers.
Alumaflex is BBA approved. It will stop as much as 97% of radiant heat transfer and therefore is very effective in heat retention in winter as well as heat reflection in the summer.
Alumaflex insulation is suitable for use in roofs and wall applications. Its flexible properties make it suitable for barn conversions and for the internal insulation of existing lofts.
